A Hanging At Dawn
by Charles Todd

It added context to the series and I think that is all you need for a novella.

Fox Creek
by William Kent Krueger

Another Cork O'Connor book with Henry's mysticism and descriptions of the plight of the Ojibwa people. This was a good adventure as well as an introduction to some new characters who could easily appear in future books.

Your Utopia
by Bora Chung

Collection of speculative fiction/dystopian stories. Cannibals! Immortality! Aliens! Sentient trees! There’s a nice variety of subject matter, and the stories are all very engaging. Translated from the Korean.

Goosebumps: Download And Die!
by Jen Vaughn

it was a nice and short fast paced read with some great spooky parts!!!

Of Mice and Minestrone
by Joe R. Lansdale

Rather screwball, slightly crude, series of short stories that follow the unusual friendship of a black man and awhite man in very red neck east Texas in the latter half of the previous century.

Woman On Fire
by Lisa Barr

Excellent historical fiction about the recovery of artwork stolen by the Nazis in WWII with a modern-day villainous as well. A very fun read.

Purgatory Ridge
by William Kent Krueger

A Cork O'Connor mystery with lots of action and an ending I didn't see coming.

Lost Roses
by Martha Hall Kelly

Historical fiction from WWI with many twists and turns, tragedy and as happy an ending as there could be with such a heart-rending story. Prequel to "The Lilac Girls".

Dark Matter
by Blake Crouch

This book is brilliant. I love the whole concept that Blake has laid out in this book. I found it to be a page turner that will make you have great discussions with others after you finish it.

The Bohemian Flats
by Mary Relindes Ellis

I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in historical fiction, especially regarding European immigration to and settlement in Minnesota and Wisconsin in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Mary Relindes Ellis has created an intriguing story with a memorable and diverse cast of characters who bond together through their shared experience of living in the 'flats' on the Mississippi River in Minneapolis. The book reminded me of the "Emigrants" (and subsequent novels in the series) by Vilhelm Moberg, "Giants in the Earth" by O.E. Rolvaag, and "Swede Hollow" by Ola Larsmo.
