An American heiress, not given to the normal expectations for a lady, longs for adventure and mysteries to solve. When her sister runs off with her secret love and jilts the Earl she was to marry, Grace takes her place to ensure her family’s security. Then begins the life she had read of, the love she had dreamed of. Funny banter and her antics make this an amusing and fast paced read.

The House In The Pines
by Ana Reyes

Beautifully written but a little too far out there in the plot. The jumping back and forth was confusing. Not a hit for me.

The Rose Code

Really enjoyed this-even better than the Alice Network. Highly recommended if you enjoy historical fiction.

Near Dark

I like Scot Harvath but this book was all his inner breakdown, not enough action, too melodramatic

Inheritance

First book in a Trilogy series. 419 pages and I read it in three days: meaning, it's a good book and a fast read. That being said the next book does not come out until November 2024. I would recommend taking notes on the names and order of the brides' deaths (I wish I would have done that) so when book two comes out, it will be easier to remember what happened.

Farrell Covington And The Limits Of Style
by Paul Rudnick

This book is for you if (1) you enjoy rom-coms, especially those that include romance but emphasize the comedy; (2) you don't mind—or perhaps prefer—that the main characters are gay; and (3) you can tolerate the “f” word. Paul Rudnick is adept at one-liners and extended skewerings. Yet he also writes with true heart. Bottom line: it's fabulous!

Romantic Comedy

I was not a fan of this book. The book felt very slow and I found myself losing interest often. I felt like the main characters had little to no character development and their conversations half way through were stale.

Armchair travel meets classic mystery meme with bodies and suspects on a long distance train ride in this volume set on the Australian Ghan traveling from Darwin to Adelaide. Hop aboard and try to unravel it all!

Daisy Darker
by Alice Feeney

This is my second Alice Feeney book and once again I was drawn into her atmospheric world, trying to figure out whodunnit and why. I listened to the audio version, the narration was great and it was perfect for a cold foggy week.
